Коронарный атеросклероз является ведущей причиной заболеваемости и смертности в индустриальных странах. Значительные достижения в медикаментозной терапии и в хирургическом лечении ИБС, наряду с эффективной вторичной профилактикой, привели к увеличению продолжительности жизни и к улучшению качества жизни большинства пациентов.
